So I have a custom built gaming PC and have run into issues as a result of a particular driver apparently not being installed. The culprit apparently is the 'PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller' according to Device Manager. I have tried finding downloads for this driver and have used the preset 'Update driver software' function but it only returns errors.
As it is the PCI simple communications controller and PCI data acquisition & signal processing controller works as a connector to your system / computer. PCI device driver missing Windows 7, 8.1, 10 is nothing but missing of Management engine interface Intel drivers. This missing of PCI drivers occurs mostly during upgrading your Windows system.
Below is an image of how Device Manager is showing the driver as not being installed:

Also I have used the Intel Driver Update Utility Installer and manually downloaded the driver as well as using a specific driver installation CD that came with my mobo. None of them have worked as all have returned errors in the installation process:
Also Windows Update registers that this driver is missing and queues it for update -when I click 'Install Now' for said update the window just hangs on the loading symbol next to the button which is then grayed out and if I click anywhere on that window I just get a Windows chime sound. It appears as though it also gets stuck on trying to install as when I look at the update process in task manager it is not using any of my network, CPU or disk -probably because it runs into the same error of trying to update a driver that is not actually there.

As such I am kind of stumped as to what to do given that none of the Intel software links/downloads are able to successfully install the driver and that various update and installation utilities all fail to do so as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yesterday, my brother who was running the Windows 8.1 Preview on his Asus S400CA Ultrabook ran into a big NTFS partition corruption problem that made it impossible to recover via the Windows 8.1 refresh utility. Given the situation my brother decided it was best to return to Windows 8, I had to install Windows 8 on his PC using an external DVD drive with a full retail Windows 8 x64 installer that I had previously purchase. The computer never asked me for a product key which I read is normal in Windows 8 PC which now have these embedded into the motherboard. So far a smooth installation, however it got tricky in the part of driver installations. Before deleting the computer I went to the Asus website and did my best to find the drivers specific to my brother's computer and downloaded the essential drivers, chipset, intel graphics, audio, bluetooth, Wireless LAN, LAN, and Asus trackpad and installed them. I used the Device Manager to check out which drivers were installed and which were not. I was able to get most of the drivers correctly installed however, the Device Manager is saying I am missing the 'PCI Data Acquisition and Signal Processing Controller' driver. Unfortunately I have going to Asus website to see if I can find the driver however, I am unable to do so at this time.
